A longer but flatter than normal walk for us. Hallwilersee has plenty of trees and reeds on the edge so on a sunny day we had plenty of shade with the bright blue lake coming in and out of view. The castle at the north end of the lake was beautiful and we had great views of Rigi as headed south from the starting point.

More details on Switzerland Mobility. We parked at Strandbad Seerose as it was easier for us but you can pick from many parking sites around the lake. The sections around the various badi were pretty busy so be prepared for a lot of people in the summer - we took a packed lunch but every bench we found for a few kilometers was full so we’d book one of the many good looking restaurants next time.
